Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to browse our materials, request samples and reach us, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.
Our aim
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the international standard for accessible websites.
What the website does
- Everything can be used with a keyboard alone, a “Skip to content” link passes over the header, and the place the keyboard has reached is always outlined.
- Pages are marked up for screen readers, with headings, named regions and labeled controls, and changes such as the number of results after a filter are announced.
- Product, collection and slab photos are described, and icons that act as buttons have names.
- Text stands out from its background, pages reflow to fit a phone and stay usable when zoomed, and your browser’s zoom is never turned off.
- Forms say in words what is missing or wrong, and which field it is.
- Where your device asks for less motion, the site’s animations are switched off.
The site is checked automatically against WCAG 2.2 Levels A and AA before every update, and was reviewed by hand against every one of those criteria.
Known limitations
- Text laid over some banner photos, such as the menu at the top of a page and its headline, can be harder to read when the photo behind it is light.
- The photos at the top of the home page and some showroom and collection pages change by themselves and have no pause button. Turning on your device’s reduced-motion setting stops them.
- Some form field borders, sample text inside fields and the line through an option that is not available are lighter than recommended.
- On a product page, the chosen size, shape or finish is shown by a light gray background. Screen readers announce it as selected.
- Google Maps, the hCaptcha check on Contact Us and our PDF documents come from other companies or from our earlier website, and may not be fully accessible. We are glad to give you any of their information another way.
