Maintenance Product Recommendations After reviewing many stone maintenance products, led by our resident "Rock Star", Mark Shedrofsky, we have chosen StoneTech Professional, as the company to supply us with chemicals for cleaning, sealing and ongoing maintenance. The Stone Source Suggested Maintenance Program KlenzAll This is a cleaner that can be used to remove construction dirt prior to applying the impregnator, or on stone that requires a thorough cleaning. We have found KlenzAll to be extremely effective on honed surfaces, where other cleaners have failed. It is the recommended cleaner for honed finish Celador, our engineered stone product. BulletProof There are many good impregnators on the market today, but our tests have found none better than BulletProof. This excellent product will greatly reduce staining on porous stone surfaces. As with all impregnators, the key to success is carefully following the manufacturer's installation procedures! Revitalizer After the impregnator is applied, we suggest that Revitalizer be applied and continued to be used as a daily or regularly used cleaner. Revitalizer leaves a thin film on the surface that allows for easy dirt removal. In addition, because Revitalizer contains a small amount of impregnator, it will fill in some areas where the original impregnator is no longer effective. For those who do not want to have additional impregnator in the cleaner, Stonetech has a product called Stone & Tile Cleaner. Always test in a small inconspicuous area to determine ease of use and desired results. Make sure all surfaces to be cleaned are swept or vacuumed to remove loose debris. Spray directly on soiled area. Minimize overspray. Scrub with a clean, non-abrasive sponge or stiff nylon brush as needed. Wipe up with a clean dry towel, sponge or mop. For optimum results, rinse area well with clean water. Reseal cleaned area. Available Sizes (and Coverage) 24 oz. Spray Quart Concentrate: 500-4,000 sq. ft. Gallon Concentrate: 2,000-10,000 sq. ft. Best suited for the most porous stone surfaces. Directions Always test in a small inconspicuous area with a 24-hour cure time to determine ease of application and desired results. Allow new grout installations to cure for a minimum of 72 hours prior to application. Make sure surface is clean, dry and free of waxes and coatings. Mask off and protect any baseboards or adjacent areas to avoid splashing and overspray onto surfaces not intended to be treated. Sealer may be applied to damp surfaces one hour after standing water has been removed. Liberally apply an even coat using a paint pad, low-pressure chemical-resistant sprayer, roller or brush. Allow sealer to penetrate the surface for 15-30 minutes. During this time, distribute excess over entire area to insure even penetration. Wipe entire surface thoroughly with clean dry towel. A second coat may be needed for porous, absorbent surfaces and should be applied 30-40 minutes after initial application as directed in steps 3-4. A minimum of 15 minutes after final application, wipe entire surface with a clean dry towel to remove any excess sealer. If needed, dampen white nylon pad with sealer to remove residue and dry again thoroughly with clean dry towel. A full cure is achieved after 24-72 hours; foot traffic may begin in 6-8 hours. Cover with red rosin paper, if foot traffic must resume before the recommended time periods have passed. Clean equipment with water. Available Sizes (and Coverage) Quart: 50-400 sq. ft. Gallon: 200-1,500 sq. ft. Expected Wear: 3-5 years on interior surfaces & 1-3 years on exterior surfaces.
