Pietra Bedonia

Description

Pietra Bedonia is a feldspathic sandstone, with quartz as its most common substance (25.8%). Also known as Pietri di Carniglia, it is quarried and processed in Northern Italy, as is a classic Italian building stone, which has been used for many applications.

Sizes

The stone is extracted from the ground in large blocks and fabricated into tiles, slabs and cut-to-size to meet project specifications. Stone Source has in stock 16"x16" - 1/2" tiles, plus 3/4" (2 cm) slabs.

Applications

Pietra Bedonia is a dense stone and is suitable for interior walls and floors, exterior cladding and paving, plus stairs, windowsills, furniture pieces and counters. The material has been used for kitchen counters, however, due to its calcium carbonate content, is subject to acid etching.
