Description Stontech 1.0 is a series of through-body porcelain tiles, manufactured by Floor Gres, one of the leading Italian porcelain manufacturers. The series features a collection of eighteen carefully reproduced sophisticated natural stones. Many of these stones would normally be highly porous or have wide natural color and graining variation, but can be controlled through the manmade porcelain manufacturing process. Sizes Standard nominal sizes are 2"x16" (5x40 cm), 4"x24" (10x60 cm), 4"x32" (10x80 cm), 4"x48" (10x120 cm), 8"x32" (20x80 cm), 8"x48" (20x120 cm), 16"x16" (40x40 cm), 16"x32" (40x80 cm), 24"x48" (60x120 cm), and 24"x24" (60x60 cm). The tile thickness is 7/16" (11 mm). All colors are produced in each size. Tiles are rectified to a single size, allowing the material to be installed with minimal grout joints, even when combining sizes. Applications Stontech 1.0 is highly durable, slip resistent, easy to maintain and stain resistant; suitable for interior walls and floors, including heavy traffic commercial floors. Click to see installation photos. Installation The substrate must be flat, stable, solid, free of cracks, smooth, dry and clean. Apply tiles with thinset adhesive, following the recommendations from manufacturers such as Laticrete and Mapei, depending on the application. Recommended grout width is 1/16" or wider. Maintenance Clean regularly with a neutral detergent. |
