Déchirer is a series of large format through-body porcelain tiles designed by
Patricia Urquiola. Déchirer is notable for its patterns and textures made possible through
the technology used in production. The series won the 2009 Best of
NeoCon Silver Award in the Hard Surface category. It also won the Elle Deco
International Design Awards (EDIDA) in 2009 in the wall coverings category.
The collection explores the expressive
potential of ceramics, incorporating patterns and colors that are inspired by
the nature and the consistency of concrete.
-
Déchirer is available in four tile sizes and a unique 48"x48"
hexagon shape.
-
Tiles are available in five colors - bianco, nero, grigio, ecrú and piombo -
and in two textures - décor and neutral.
-
The tiles are through-body and press-finished using CONTINUA technology.
