Description Steelwork is a unique series of glazed porcelain stoneware, manufactured in Italy by Ceramica Fioranese. The glaze contains atomized microspheres of different metals which create a metallic sheen, similar to iron alloy sheets. Colors & Sizes There are five colors in the line: Argento, Bronzo, Acciaio, Gold, and Blue. Each color is offered in the following nominal (and actual) sizes: 4"x24" (3.9"x24.0"), 12"x24" (12.0"x24.0") and 24"x24" (24.0"x24.0"). All sizes are rectified to allow for thin 1/16" grout joints. Applications Steelwork is suitable for interior residential and commercial walls, plus residential and medium/light traffic commercial floors (Mohs - 5; Pei - 4, tested with matte finish). Installation Tiles can be installed using standard installation methods for thinset adhesives. Use high quality adhesive and grout from such manufacturers as Laticrete and Mapei, following manufacturers' recommendations, depending on conditions. Maintenance For cleaning after installation, do not use acids or bases. Use mild detergents with a pH of 6.5 to 7.5 that can be regularly used for ordinary maintenance. Due to the metallic surface, some light scratching and dulling can occur. Use mats at points of entry to remove sand and dirt particles from shoe bottoms to reduce scratching and wear. |
