Description
Lava is a series of unglazed through-body porcelain tiles created by Apavisa, one of Spain's leading porcelain tile manufacturers. The Lava pattern simulates the sophisticated look of our highly popular modernist volcanic stone, Basaltina, with slightly directional markings.

Colors & Finishes
Lava is offered in four colors: light, medium and dark gray, plus beige; and four finishes: Natural (matte), Lappato (polished), Rigato (line textured) and Bocciardato (flamed). In addition, there are three glazed metallic colors with a line textured surface, plus mosaics, accents, bullnose and stair treads.

Sizes
All Lava colors and finishes are available in a 12"x24" tile size. Other sizes are available, depending on color and finish. See the size availability chart below.

Applications
Lava is highly durable, easy to maintain, stain resistant and slip resistent (ASTM C1028: Natural finish - dry 0.70, wet 0.67; Polished finish - dry 0.72, wet - 0.65; Flamed finish - dry 0.65, wet 0.61). Tiles are suitable for interior and exterior walls, exterior paving and interior floors, including heavy traffic commercial floors. Click to see installation photos.

Installation and Maintenance
Tiles can be installed using standard installation methods for thinset adhesives. Use high quality adhesive and grout from such manufacturers as Laticrete and Mapei, following manufacturers' recommendations, depending on conditions. Clean regularly with mild neutral detergent.
